Malaysia Airlines Selects Plateau to Support Talent Management and Regulatory Compliance Initiatives

Growing List of Airline Customers Rely on Plateau for Training, Performance and Career and Succession Planning

Arlington, Va. - 20 February, 2008 – Plateau Systems, a leading provider of talent management software, content and services, today announced that Malaysia Airlines, one of Asia's largest airlines and Malaysia's national carrier, has selected Plateau's highly-scalable, web-based talent management solutions to support compliance training, reporting, and performance management across its global workforce. Malaysia Airlines joins a growing list of award-winning airlines such as Northwest Airlines and Singapore Airlines that use Plateau to support a wide-range of employee, partner and contractor talent management initiatives.

“Plateau’s proven experience and understanding of our industry as well as its technology’s ability to scale across our enterprise made them the ideal choice to support our talent management needs,” said Khairuddin Hamzah, Assistant General Manager, Engineering Training and Human Resources at Malaysia Airlines. “Plateau gives our employees access to consistent training anytime and anywhere. We now have a clear view of employees’ performance and development and can better track their activities and training to ensure that we are meeting all industry regulations.”

According to Bersin & Associates, compliance-related training for airlines is particularly challenging since these companies have large and geographically dispersed employee populations, a wide range of job roles, and an array of regulatory requirements and compliance issues.

“By accurately tracking and documenting employee training, Malaysia Airlines is ensuring its continued success and ranking as one of Asia’s top airlines,” said Paul Sparta, Chairman and CEO of Plateau. “The airline industry is one of the most prominent leaders in global operations expansion, and as a result, they have put great emphasis on the planning and execution of talent management initiatives. With Plateau’s ability to scale and provide global access, we are the ideal talent management solution for the travel and transportation industries.”

Initially, Plateau will help Malaysia Airlines address these challenges by providing ground technical staff with online training they can access at anytime, from anywhere. Through Plateau’s intuitive user interface, Malaysia Airlines can easily identify training requirements, target and assign learning and training activities, deploy learning simultaneously across the enterprise and track course progress and completion. By automating the certification process, Plateau allows Malaysia Airlines to measure and track certification activities, ensuring that the company meets current local, industry and international regulations. Plateau’s Learning Management and Performance Management solutions are seamlessly integrated, providing Malaysia Airlines with a closed-loop process that helps close employee performance and development gaps through targeted learning activities.

Malaysia Airlines has more than 18,000 employees and flies more than 48,000 passengers to some 100 destinations across six continents, everyday. The airline, which holds a lengthy record of service and best practices excellence, having received more than 100 awards in the last 10 years, joins an impressive list of airline customers including Emirates Group, Northwest Airlines, Pinnacle Airlines, and Singapore Airlines who have deployed Plateau enterprise-wide. Recognized by leading tourism and business publications including Travel & Leisure Magazine, Conde Nast and Fortune Magazine, these airlines have invested in Plateau’s best of breed talent management solutions to elevate their business operations and ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining compliance with aviation regulations.

Plateau continues to earn awards and accolades from customers and industry experts for its elegant talent management solutions and for its commitment to making customers successful. In addition to earning top ratings for customer satisfaction and completeness of vision in Bersin & Associates' latest talent management suites study, Talent Management Suites: Market Realities, Implementation Experiences, and Vendor Profiles, Plateau was recently recognized as a leader in the February 2008 “Forrester Wave: Enterprise Learning Management Suites, Q1 2008”, and in its Forrester Wave™ Integrated Performance And Compensation Solutions, Q3 2007 report. Plateau Named a Leader in Enterprise Learning Management Suites by Independent Research Firm

Company Announces that it has Scored Talent Management Hat-Trick as the First and Only Talent Management Provider to be Rated a Leader in Learning, Performance, and Integrated Performance and Compensation

Arlington, Va. - 14 February, 2008 – Plateau Systems, aleading provider of talent management software, content and services, today announced it was named a leader in the February 2008 “Forrester Wave: Enterprise Learning Management Suites, Q1 2008” report. In this evaluation, Plateau received the highest vendor score in the strategy category among the select companies that Forrester invited to participate. This report follows Forrester's recent recognition of Plateau as a leader in the performance solutions segment and the integrated performance and compensation management segment of the August 2007 “Forrester Wave™: Integrated Performance And Compensation Solutions, Q3 2007” report.

“We are pleased that Forrester has recognized Plateau as a leader in its Enterprise Learning Management Wave, and take great pride in being the first and only talent management solution provider to have been named a leader in this report as well as Forrester's Integrated Performance and Compensation Solutions Wave,” said Paul Sparta, CEO, Plateau Systems. “Learning, performance, and compensation are clearly key components of any company's talent management strategy. By delivering a seamless talent management solution that also provides deep, stand-alone functionality for learning management, performance management, compensation management, and career and succession planning, Plateau allows customers to grow their talent management strategy and solution in line with their business goals, and allows them to do so without having to trade functionality for integration, and vice versa.”

Forrester's report evaluated 12 leading learning management vendors - across 90 criteria - according to current offering, strategy and market presence. Plateau was awarded the top score in the Strategy category, receiving the highest possible score for Product Enhancement. According to the report, “Plateau plans to continue to build out its talent management suites, as well as to develop capabilities in Web 2.0 technologies.” Forrester further states: ”in our user reference checks, Plateau received the highest marks of all vendors for knowledgeable, honest, and supportive sales, implementation, and customer service teams.”

According to Forrester, learning suites are “quickly becoming a critical component of an organization's talent management efforts.” Forrester went on to note that “pure-play vendors like, Plateau Systems (along with 3 other vendors), have created or acquired performance management, succession planning, and compensation capabilities and have integrated these components into a talent management suite that complements the learning suite.”

With organizations recognizing the value and benefits of deploying unified, extensible talent management solutions, Plateau is seeing an increased demand among its customers for a complete, integrated talent management suite. In a recent interview in Talent Management Magazine, Plateau customer Dave Roberts, vice president of talent management at Western Union, highlighted the value of Plateau's complete offering, stating, “one of the key strategic areas of focus is integration. We want a one-stop shop for the various clients of talent management. The company had a history of very siloed, separated talent management processes. We're pulling those together around a set of key talent imperatives, things that people in the organization need to do in order to drive the business forward and accomplish the strategic goals of the business.” According to Lisa Jacoba, Western Union's SVP of Talent Management, “Our hope is to utilize the data on the performance and learning sides, and then integrate all of that to help us make some of those key decisions when we have to back fill a role or get into a new line of business, and really use this as our search engine to look at the talent and make some decisions on how to mobilize our talent.”

Further demonstrating its strength in providing comprehensive talent management solutions, Plateau debuted as leader in The Forrester Wave™: Integrated Performance And Compensation Solutions, Q3 2007. According to that report, “Plateau (along with 3 other vendors) established early integrated performance and compensation leadership, thanks to their depth of functionality.” Forrester added that with “their (Plateau and one other vendor) history in learning and Plateau's well-defined forward looking strategy gives [them] a leg up in career development planning, and they are good options for companies with a strong emphasis on integrating learning into their overall talent management strategy.”
